Paula Kaye - Now Playing

The Monday Night Group

Every Monday, a group of professional actors get together to perform prepared scenes, cold reads, sing or improvise. It’s a place to work out to keep our instruments sharp. Moderated by Chris Owens (X-Files).

Medical Roleplaying

Yes, I'm Kramer... I teach communication skills to International Medical Grads (IMG's) every weekend. These are doctors who come from other countries to be certified in Canada. In a role-play, I’m given symptoms and the doctors have to figure out the diagnosis and how to counsel me. I specialize in Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Endocrinology, Neurology and whatever else is thrown my way. (I act as the abused in sexual abuse cases, suicide and things that make me cry.) All of the scenarios are improvised.

Choir

I'm one of the sopranos but the only hits I'll make are to my notes. Every second Sunday, September to June, 9:30 am Liturgy @ Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church. And I really do sing in Ukrainian...
I sing alto & descant as well. Range: G below Middle C + 2 Octaves.

Sundance Film Festival

Ryerson

2006 was my second year as an instructional actor for Robin Hartsell's course, "Directing Screen Performance" at Ryerson University. This class gives new directors an opportunity to do scene work with a professional actor in a film setting. This term my director cast me as Marion in “Requiem for a Dream.”
